Many children are recommended directly by the schools after their initial interviews and testing. Often conditional places are given for a later date, when their English is good enough for them to make a successful entry into the International School classroom. Sometimes after a period of teaching, a school will accept our recommendation as to the child's level and sometimes it will be necessary for the child to repeat an assessment at the school before the decision is made.

Some families contact us directly and then begin their search for schools along the coast. Now with waiting lists in the International Schools for some age groups, Angela’s School also provides interim schooling for children whose English and general skills are more than sufficient, until a place becomes available. This provides a rich learning environment for English learners who make very rapid progress.

Some short stay students do not look for places in schools and attend the Marbella Study Centre for a period which could be from two weeks to a month because their parents are on holiday or working on the coast for a short period of time.

It is very common to have at least four different nationalities seated at the table all learning together!
